Zesty Limoncello Tiramisu Delight

 

Ingredients:
– 1 cup mascarpone cheese
– 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1/2 cup limoncello liqueur
– 24 ladyfinger cookies
– Zest of 1 lemon
– Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.

2. In a separate bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and limoncello. Gently fold the mascarpone mixture into the whipped cream until well combined.

3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, making sure not to soak them too long.

4. In a 9×9 inch dish, layer half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom.

5. Spread half of the mascarpone and cream mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.

6. Add half of the lemon zest on top of the mascarpone layer.

7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture. Finish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder and the rest of the lemon zest.

8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.

9. Serve chilled, and enjoy this delightful twist on a classic dessert!
