Strawberry Bliss Honeybun Cake

 

Ingredients:
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1 cup buttermilk
– 3 large eggs
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil
– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Beat until fluffy.

3. Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until well incorporated.

4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined, ensuring not to overmix.

10. For the icing, mix the powdered sugar with a little water until you reach your desired consistency. Drizzle over the cooled cake prior to serving.
