Stir-Fried Noodles with Shrimp and Beef

 

🍂Ingredients (for 4 people):

250 g rice noodles or egg noodles
150 g beef (thinly sliced, like fillet or rump steak)
150 g shrimp (peeled and cleaned)
1 red pepper (cut into thin strips)
1 carrot (julienned)
100 g broccoli (separated into small florets)
3 cloves garlic (chopped)
1 onion (cut into strips)
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce (optional)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 pinch chili pepper (optional)
A few sprigs fresh coriander (for garnish)
Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

🍂Instructions:

1. Prep Ingredients:
🔸Cook noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside.
🔸Toss beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce and 1 pinch black pepper. Marinate for 10 minutes.
🔸Prepare all vegetables so they are ready to stir-fry quickly.

2. Cook shrimp and beef:
🔸Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
🔸Cook shrimp until pink and lightly browned (about 2 minutes). Remove and set aside.
🔸 In the same pan, add a little oil and sauté the beef until well browned. Remove and set aside.

3. Cooking the vegetables:
🔸Add 1 tbsp vegetable oil to the wok and sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant.
🔸Add the carrot, bell pepper, and broccoli. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly.

4. Final toss:
🔸Return the beef and shrimp to the pan with the vegetables.
🔸Add the cooked noodles, then stir in the sauce: mix 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp fish sauce, 1 tbsp brown sugar, and sesame oil.
🔸Mix well to coat the noodles and cook for 1-2 minutes.

5. Serving:
🔸Serve hot in plates or bowls.
🔸Garnish with fresh cilantro and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.

🏵️Tip:
🔸For an even more authentic taste, add a few drops of Sriracha sauce or rice vinegar when serving.
🔸You can substitute chicken for the beef or add other vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini.
