Stir-fried Chicken with Orange Sauce
Ingredients:
700 grams of chicken, diced
1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil
black pepper powder
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 teaspoons orange zest (or sliced โโorange peel)
100 cc orange juice
70 cc + 2 tablespoons chicken stock
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
2 1/2 sugar
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried grated ginger
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
spring onions and sesame seeds as a topping
How to Make:
1. Saute chicken with canola oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper powder. Once the chicken is cooked, set aside.
2. For the sauce, saute garlic, turn off the heat. Add orange juice, 70 cc of chicken stock, orange zest, soy sauce, honey, sugar, onion powder, ginger, and vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste. Turn on medium heat. Meanwhile, mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of chicken stock, then add to the sauce mixture. Stir until boiling and thickened.
3. Add the cooked chicken pieces, mix well with the sauce.
4. Stir-fried chicken with orange sauce can be served with chopped spring onions and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
