Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Vegetables

A classic hearty and healthy dish that’s easy to prepare!
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
🥩 2 beef steaks (sirloin or ribeye)
🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
🥄 2 tbsp olive oil
🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
🧈 1 tbsp butter (optional)
For the Mashed Potatoes:
🥔 3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
🥛 1/2 cup milk (or cream)
🧈 2 tbsp butter
🧂 Salt to taste
For the Steamed Vegetables:
🥕 1 cup sliced carrots
🌱 1 cup green beans, trimmed
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Steak:
Rub the steaks with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side (for medium rare) or adjust to your preferred doneness.
Add butter in the last minute of cooking and spoon it over the steak for added flavor. Remove and let rest.
2. Make the Mashed Potatoes:
Boil the potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes until tender.
Drain and mash the potatoes. Add butter, warm milk, and salt, then mix until smooth and creamy.
3. Steam the Vegetables:
Steam carrots and green beans for 5-7 minutes until tender but still vibrant. Season lightly with salt if desired.
4. Serve and Enjoy:
Plate the steak with a side of mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
Drizzle steak juices from the pan over the steak for extra flavor.
