Smoked Baby Back Ribs (3-2-1 Method)

Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 racks of baby back ribs 🥩
2 tbsp yellow mustard 🟡
1/4 cup BBQ rub (store-bought or homemade) 🌟
1/2 cup apple juice 🍎
1/4 cup brown sugar 🧂
3 tbsp butter 🧈
1 cup BBQ sauce 🥣
Instructions:
Prepare the Ribs:
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs using a knife and paper towel for grip. 🏋️♀️
Rub the ribs with yellow mustard for a binding layer, then generously coat with BBQ rub. Let them rest for 30 minutes. 🕒
Smoke the Ribs (Step 1: 3 Hours):
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C) using your favorite wood (hickory, apple, or cherry recommended). 🔥
Place the ribs directly on the smoker grates and smoke for 3 hours. Spritz occasionally with apple juice to keep them moist. 🌫️
Wrap the Ribs (Step 2: 2 Hours):
Lay out two sheets of aluminum foil. Place ribs meat-side down on the foil, sprinkle with brown sugar, pats of butter, and a splash of apple juice. Wrap tightly and return to the smoker for 2 hours. 📦
Sauce and Finish (Step 3: 1 Hour):
Carefully unwrap the ribs and place them back on the smoker, meat-side up. Brush generously with BBQ sauce. Smoke for another hour to set the glaze. 🥣✨
Serve and Enjoy:
Remove the ribs from the smoker, let them rest for 10 minutes, and slice between the bones. Serve with extra BBQ sauce for dipping! 🤤🍽️
Pro Tip: For a caramelized glaze, increase the smoker temperature to 275°F (135°C) in the final 15 minutes. 🔥✨
