Slow Cooker BBQ Brisket with Homemade BBQ Sauce

Ingredients :
– 4-5 lbs of beef brisket
– 2 cups of beef broth
– 1 tablespoon of salt
– 1 tablespoon of black pepper
– 1 tablespoon of paprika
– 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
– 1 tablespoon of onion powder
– 1/2 cup of brown sugar
– 1 cup of ketchup
– 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
– 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tablespoon of mustard
– 1 teaspoon chili powder
– 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Itinéraires :
1. Rub brisket with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder and onion. Make sure its dressed evenly.
2. Place seasoned brisket in a slow cooker. Pour the beef broth over the meat.
3. Cover in slow cooker and bake on low for 8 to 10 hours until brisket is tender
4. While the brisket cooks the bbq sauce. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, chili powder and cayenne pepper. Shake it well.
5. Once the chest is done, remove it from the slow cooker and let it rest for 15 minutes.
6. Slicing beef brisket against the grain.
7. Serve the brisket with homemade barbecue sauce on the top or on the side.
