OvenFried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey

 

**Ingredients:**
– 1/4 cup butter
– 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
– 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
– 1/4 cup honey
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 clove garlic, minced
– Olive oil, for brushing
– 1 package phyllo dough, thawed
– 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

**Instructions:**

1. **Prepare the Filling:**
In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, chopped dill, minced garlic, and olive oil. Mix everything together until well combined.

2. **Assemble the Rolls:**
– Lay a sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with olive oil.
– Take a spoonful of the feta mixture and place it at the bottom edge of the phyllo dough.
– Fold the sides over the filling, then roll it up tightly to form a cylinder.
– Brush the seam side with olive oil to seal it securely.
– Repeat this process with the remaining phyllo dough and feta filling.

3. **Bake the Rolls:**
Preheat your oven to 400F (200C).
– Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
– Brush the tops of the rolls with a little olive oil for an extra crispy finish.
– Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy.

4. **Make the Chili Honey:**
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
– Once melted, add the red pepper flakes and ground cumin, cooking for just a few seconds to release the flavors.
– Stir in the honey and let it cook for another minute or so until all is well combined.

5. **Serve:**
Serve the warm feta rolls with the delicious chili honey sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.
