Miso Butter Corn

Ingredients
4 ears of corn, husked
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon white miso paste
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Chopped scallions or cilantro for garnish
Toasted sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Prepare the Corn
Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan to medium-high heat. Alternatively, boil the corn in salted water for 6–8 minutes until tender.
Make the Miso Butter
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, miso paste, soy sauce, honey (if using), garlic powder, and sesame oil until smooth and well combined.
Cook the Corn
If grilling, place the corn directly on the grill grates and cook, turning occasionally, for 6–8 minutes, until lightly charred and cooked through.
If boiling, drain the cooked corn and pat dry before proceeding.
Glaze with Miso Butter
While the corn is still hot, generously brush the miso butter mixture over each ear, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with chopped scallions or cilantro and toasted sesame seeds for an extra layer of flavor and presentation.
Serve immediately and enjoy this flavorful twist on a classic favorite!
Tips for Success
Adjust Sweetness: Skip the honey if you prefer a more savory flavor profile.
Char Options: If you don’t have a grill, use a broiler to lightly char the corn for that smoky flavor.
Butter Variation: For a spicier version, add a pinch of chili flakes or a drizzle of sriracha to the miso butter mixture.
Serving Suggestions
Pair this dish with grilled meats, stir-fried vegetables, or as part of a summer barbecue spread.
