Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole

 

Ingredients

1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli

1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage

1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup sour cream

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp Italian seasoning

2 cups fresh spinach (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the meat sauce:

In a skillet, brown the ground beef or sausage. Drain excess fat.

Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.

2. Mix the creamy filling:

In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, sour cream, ½ cup mozzarella, and ¼ cup Parmesan.

3. Assemble the casserole:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Arrange half the ravioli over the sauce.

Spread the creamy mixture over the ravioli, then add the spinach if using.

Layer with the remaining ravioli, meat sauce, and the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan.

4. Bake:

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
