Keto Mushroom Sauce

8 oz mushrooms, sliced (button, cremini, or shiitake) 🍄

1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
1 tsp fresh thyme or parsley, chopped 🌿
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 🧂

Cook the Mushrooms:

Heat the butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and tender.
Add Garlic:

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add Liquids:

Pour in the heavy cream and chicken or vegetable broth. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer.
Incorporate Cheese and Herbs:

Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens slightly. Mix in the fresh thyme or parsley.
Season and Serve:
