Fried Tofu with Lettuce Recipe

 

🍂Ingredients:

1 block of firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 head of lettuce, chopped
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

🍂Instructions:

1. Press the tofu:
Wrap the tofu block in paper towels and place a heavy object on top to press out excess water for about 15-20 minutes.

2. Pan-fry the tofu:
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3. Sauté the garlic:
Add the garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Add the lettuce:
Add the chopped lettuce to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until wilted.

5. Season and combine:
Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.

6. Return the tofu:
Add the fried tofu back to the skillet and mix with the lettuce and sauce. Heat for another minute or two until the tofu is warmed through.

7. Serve:
Serve the fried tofu with lettuce over rice or noodles
