Delicious Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta

Ingredients:
For the Pasta:
12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
For the Sauce:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lb chicken breast, sliced
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 yellow bell pepper, diced
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish
Directions:
Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken breast, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and diced bell pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add Cajun Flavor: Stir in the Cajun seasoning, mixing well to coat the vegetables.
Make the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Allow it to cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
Combine: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the drained pasta. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and chicken in the creamy sauce.
Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt, pepper, or Cajun seasoning if desired.
Garnish and Serve: Serve the pasta hot, garnished with chopped green onions or parsley.
