Deep Hamburger and Chicken Sausage Pie

Craving a hearty dish that packs a flavor punch? This deep pizza pie will hit the spot, combining savory meats, gooey cheese, and a delicious crust!
Ingredients:
– 1 box Pillsbury ready-bake pie crust (contains 2 rolled pie crusts)
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/2 pound ground beef
– 1/2 pound chicken sausage, sliced
– 1 cup pepperoni slices
– 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or marinara
– 1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
– 3 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing the top crust)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the sliced chicken sausage and continue to cook until heated through. Be sure to drain any excess fat and set the mixture aside.
3. Roll out one of the pie crusts to fit a deep-dish pie pan or deep skillet. Carefully place the crust into the pan, pressing it into the bottom and up the sides.
4. Layer half of the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on the bottom of the crust.
5. Next, add the cooked beef and chicken sausage evenly over the cheese. Then, layer on the pepperoni slices.
6. Pour the pizza sauce over the meat and spread it evenly. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and optional red pepper flakes on top for extra flavor.
7. Add the remaining mozzarella cheese and another layer of pepperoni slices on top of the sauce.
8. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the top of the filling, sealing the edges by pressing them together. Brush the top crust generously with melted butter and sprinkle with a pinch of garlic powder for extra flavor.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
10. Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve warm to enjoy every satisfying bite!
