Decadent Chocolate Cake Delight

Ingredients:
– 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– ½ teaspoon baking powder
– ½ teaspoon salt
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup full-fat milk
– ½ cup vegetable oil
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 1 cup boiling water
– ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed until the batter is smooth.
4. Carefully stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin, but that’s okay!
5. If you’re using chocolate chips, fold them into the batter now.
6. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
9. Once cooled, frost with your favorite chocolate frosting and enjoy a slice of indulgence!
