Crispy Fried Fish Sandwich with Onion Rings

 

Ingredients:

2 brioche buns

2 fish fillets (cod, haddock, or tilapia)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 egg, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs or panko

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4-5 onion rings, fried

Lettuce leaves

2 tbsp tartar sauce or spicy mayo

Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Fish:
Season the fish fillets with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Coat each fillet in flour, dip into the beaten egg, and then coat in breadcrumbs.

2. Fry the Fish:
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the fish fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

3. Toast the Buns:
Lightly toast the brioche buns in a skillet or toaster for extra texture.

4. Assemble the Sandwich:
Spread tartar sauce or spicy mayo on the bottom bun. Layer with lettuce, the fried fish fillet, crispy onion rings, and the top bun. Serve with fries on the side for a delicious meal!
