Cheesy Stuffed Meatloaf Bread
Ingredients:
1 loaf of pre-made pizza dough or bread dough π
500g ground beef π₯©
1 medium onion, diced π§
2 garlic cloves, minced π§
1/2 cup marinara sauce π
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese π§
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese π§
1 tsp Italian seasoning πΏ
Salt and black pepper to taste π§
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash) π₯
Fresh parsley for garnish πΏ
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Meat Filling:
Preheat your oven to 190Β°C (375Β°F).
In a skillet, cook ground beef, onions, and garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes and set aside.
2. Assemble the Bread:
Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread the meat mixture down the center of the dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the meat.
3. Seal and Braid the Bread:
Make diagonal cuts on the sides of the dough, about 2 inches apart. Fold strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braided effect. Seal the edges tightly.
4. Bake:
Place the loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
5. Garnish and Serve:
Let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm. Perfect as a hearty appetizer or main dish!
