Best Ever Stuffed Mushrooms

 

Ingredients:
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 pound large mushrooms, stems removed
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
– 1 teaspoon olive oil
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Stir in the mushroom stems, cooking for 3-4 minutes until softened.
4. In a large bowl, combine the sautéed garlic and mushroom stems with breadcrumbs, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
5. Using a spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the stuffing mixture.
6. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
