Chicken with Garlic Mushroom Sauce

 

🍂Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms (such as cremini or button)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

🍂Instructions:

1.Prepare the Chicken:
🔸Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
🔸Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
🔸Cook the chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden-brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

2.Cook the Mushrooms:
🔸In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes until they soften and release their moisture.
🔸Add minced garlic and cook for another minute, stirring constantly.

3.Make the Sauce:
🔸Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

4.Top the Chicken:
🔸Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce and mushrooms over the top.
🔸Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken and cover the skillet. Let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.

5.Serve:
🔸Transfer the chicken breasts to a plate, spoon the garlic mushroom sauce over the top, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
🔸Serve warm and enjoy this delicious, creamy chicken dish!
