Strawberry Heaven on Earth Cake

Ingredients:
1 (16 oz) angel food cake, cubed
1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 ½ cups cold milk
1 cup sour cream
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling
1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip)
Instructions:
Layer the Cake:
In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread half of the cubed angel food cake in an even layer.
Add Strawberry Filling:
Spread half of the strawberry pie filling over the layer of cake cubes. Add a layer of fresh strawberry slices on top of the filling.
Prepare Pudding Mixture:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix, cold milk, and sour cream until thick and smooth.
Layer Pudding:
Spread half of the pudding mixture over the strawberries, smoothing it out with a spatula.
Repeat Layers:
Add the remaining angel food cake cubes over the pudding, followed by the rest of the strawberry pie filling and fresh strawberries.
Top with Whipped Topping:
Spread the whipped topping evenly over the entire dessert.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld together.
Garnish and Enjoy:
Optionally, garnish with extra strawberries before serving.
