Orange Pistachio Tiramisu

A refreshing twist on the classic Italian dessert, this Orange Pistachio Tiramisu combines zesty citrus and nutty pistachios for a vibrant, creamy treat!

Ingredients:

For the Cream Layer:

1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, cold
1 cup (240 g) mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup (100 g) powdered sugar
1 teaspoon orange zest
For the Orange Syrup:

1 cup (240 ml) fresh orange juice (about 3–4 oranges)
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon orange liqueur (optional, or substitute with extra orange juice)
For Assembly:

12–14 ladyfingers (savoiardi biscuits)
1/3 cup (50 g) finely chopped pistachios
Extra orange zest for garnish
Directions:

Make the Orange Syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine the fresh orange juice and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves completely. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat. If using orange liqueur, stir it in. Let the syrup cool.

Prepare the Cream Mixture:
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and orange zest, then whip until smooth and thick. Be careful not to overwhip.

Dip the Ladyfingers:
Briefly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled orange syrup, ensuring they’re coated but not soggy.

Assemble the Tiramisu:

In a serving dish or individual glasses, arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers.
Spread a layer of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
Sprinkle a portion of the chopped pistachios over the cream.
Repeat the layers, finishing with a cream layer on top.
Chill:
Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor and texture.

Garnish and Serve:
Before serving, sprinkle the top with additional chopped pistachios and orange zest for a vibrant and nutty garnish. Serve chilled.
