Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders

Ingredients
For the Tenders:
1 pound (450 g) chicken tenders or strips 🍗
8–10 slices of bacon 🥓
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon smoked paprika 🌶️
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For Garnish (Optional):
Chopped parsley 🌿
A drizzle of honey 🍯
Directions
Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top for even cooking.
Season the Chicken: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Rub this mixture evenly over the chicken tenders, coating them completely.
Wrap with Bacon:
Wrap It Up: Take each chicken tender and wrap it tightly with a slice of bacon, overlapping slightly to cover the chicken. If needed, secure the bacon with toothpicks.
Sprinkle Extra Sugar: Sprinkle any leftover brown sugar mixture over the bacon-wrapped tenders for a caramelized finish.
Bake the Tenders:
Bake: Place the chicken tenders on the prepared wire rack and bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
Optional Broil: For extra crispiness, broil the tenders for 2–3 minutes at the end, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.
Serve and Enjoy
7. Garnish: Remove the chicken tenders from the oven and let them rest for a minute. Garnish with chopped parsley and drizzle with honey for a sweet and savory touch. Serve warm and watch them disappear!
Tips for Success
Use thin-cut bacon to ensure it crisps up nicely in the oven.
For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the brown sugar mixture.
