Baked Burger Dogs

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef 🥩

Directions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2: Season the Beef
In a medium bowl, mix the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Divide the beef into 4 equal portions.
Step 3: Shape the Burger Dogs
Flatten each portion of beef into a rectangle. Place a slice of cheese in the center and carefully roll the beef around the cheese, shaping it into a hot dog-like log. Make sure the cheese is fully enclosed.
Step 4: Add Bacon (Optional)
If using bacon, wrap a slice around each beef roll and secure it with toothpicks if necessary.
Step 5: Bake
Place the burger dogs on the prepared baking sheet. Brush them lightly with olive oil to help them brown. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the beef is fully cooked and the bacon is crispy (if used).
Step 6: Prepare the Buns
While the burger dogs are baking, lightly toast the hot dog buns in the oven or a skillet.
Step 7: Assemble and Serve
Place each burger dog into a toasted bun. Add your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise. Serve immediately.
