Savory Garlic Beef & Asparagus Stir-Fry

Ingredients:
– 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
– 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into pieces
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
– 1 tablespoon cornstarch
– 1 teaspoon sesame oil
– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Start by marinating the beef slices in a bowl with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it sit for about 15 minutes for the flavors to blend.
2. While the beef is marinating, prepare your asparagus by trimming the ends and cutting them into bite-sized pieces.
3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil, swirling it around to coat the pan evenly.
4. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Let it sear for about 2-3 minutes without stirring for a nice brown color, then stir-fry for another 2 minutes until fully cooked. Remove the beef and set it aside.
5. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and asparagus. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the asparagus is tender yet crisp.
6. Return the beef to the skillet and toss everything together. Stir-fry for an additional minute to combine the flavors.
7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
