Ingredients:
– 4 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 cup milk
– 1 cup sugar
– 1/4 cup butter, softened
– 2 large eggs
– 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, activate the yeast by mixing it with warm milk and a teaspoon of sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
3. Stir in the activated yeast mixture, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
4. Gradually add more flour, one cup at a time, until the dough pulls away from the sides and becomes soft but not sticky.
5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
7. Once risen, punch the dough down and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the brown sugar evenly over the surface, and roll it up tightly.
8. Pinch the seams to seal and place the roll into a greased loaf pan. Cover and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while the dough is rising.
10. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool slightly before slicing.
