Olive oil 🫒: 2 tbsp
Paprika 🌶️: 1 tsp
Garlic powder 🧄: 1 tsp
Onion powder 🧅: 1 tsp
Cayenne pepper 🌶️: 1/4 tsp (optional for heat)
Dried thyme 🌿: 1/2 tsp
Salt and black pepper 🧂: To taste
For the Garlic Lime Butter
Butter 🧈: 2 tbsp
Garlic 🧄: 2 cloves, minced
Lime juice 🍋: 1 tbsp
Lime zest 🍋: 1 tsp
Fresh parsley 🌿: 1 tbsp, chopped
Step-by-Step Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Red Snapper
Rinse the red snapper fillets and pat them dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix paprika 🌶️, garlic powder 🧄, onion powder 🧅, cayenne pepper 🌶️ (if using), dried thyme 🌿, salt, and black pepper 🧂.
Rub the spice mixture evenly onto both sides of the fillets.
2️⃣ Sear the Snapper
Heat olive oil 🫒 in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the fillets for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and the crust is golden and crispy.
3️⃣ Make the Garlic Lime Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the butter 🧈 over low heat.
Add minced garlic 🧄 and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in lime juice 🍋, lime zest 🍋, and fresh parsley 🌿.
4️⃣ Serve
Plate the red snapper and drizzle the garlic lime butter over the top.
Garnish with extra parsley and lime wedges 🍋.
Serve with steamed rice, sautéed vegetables, or a crisp green salad.
Pro Tip:
For a smoky twist, grill the red snapper instead of pan-searing.
