Creamy pasta with tomato mozzarella

Ingredients
For the sauce:
2 tablespoons of the olive oil
3 minced garlic cloves
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
For the pasta:
12oz Shell or Elbow Pasta (or your preferred shape)
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
1. Cook the pasta:
Boil a large pot of salt water Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package until al dente. Drain it and put it aside.
2. Get the sauce:
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Saute minced garlic until fragrant.
Add the tomato sauce, dried basil, oregano, and hot chilli. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Whisk in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Slow down for 3 more minutes.
3. Combine pasta and sauce:
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. stir until it is evenly coated.
Mix in parmesan until melted and creamy.
4. Serve :
Slice the pasta and top with fresh mozzarella balls.
Top with chopped parsley or basil and sprinkle with extra chilli flakes for an extra kick.
Pro tip:
For a smoky flavor, lightly charred the mozzarella balls before adding them to the pasta.
