Stuffed Pasta Shells with Cheesy Beef Filling

Ingredients:

12 large pasta shells
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup marinara sauce
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1 egg
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta shells according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
In a pan, cook ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
In a mixing bowl, combine cooked beef, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, and fresh basil. Stir until well combined.
Stuff each pasta shell with the beef mixture.
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish.
Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells. Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Remove the foil, sprinkle extra mozzarella on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve hot with extra basil if desired.
