Cheesy Sausage Balls with a Kick

 

Ingredients:
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1 pound breakfast sausage
– 1 cup biscuit mix
– 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
– 1/4 cup milk

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the breakfast sausage, biscuit mix, shredded cheddar cheese, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and green onions (if using).

3. Slowly add the milk to the mixture until everything is well combined.

4. Use your hands to form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a tablespoon. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each.

5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.

6. Let them cool slightly, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce for a perfect appetizer!
