Sautéed Beef with Onions: A Tasty and Quick Dish

🍖🧅
Ingredients:
1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced 🥩
2 medium onions, thinly sliced 🧅
2 tbsp soy sauce 🍶
1 tbsp oyster sauce 🌟
1 tsp sesame oil 🥢
1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening) 🌽
2 tbsp cooking oil 🛢️
1/2 tsp ground black pepper 🌶️
1 tsp sugar 🍬
Green onions or parsley for garnish (optional) 🌿
Let’s Make It Happen:
Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper. Toss the beef slices in the marinade and let sit for 10–15 minutes.
Cook the Beef:
Heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear the beef in batches for 1–2 minutes on each side until lightly browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Sauté the Onions:
In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Sauté the sliced onions over medium heat until golden and softened, about 5 minutes.
Combine:
Return the beef to the skillet with the onions. Stir everything together and cook for 2–3 minutes. If you like a thicker sauce, dissolve cornstarch in 2 tbsp water and add it to the pan. Cook until the sauce thickens.
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired. Serve hot over steamed rice or with crusty bread. 🍚🥖
Tips for Extra Magic:
Add a splash of balsamic vinegar for a tangy twist. 🍇
Toss in sliced bell peppers or mushrooms for extra veggies. 🌶️🍄
For a richer flavor, use a bit of butter to sauté the onions. 🧈
