Classic Sausage Breakfast
Ingredients:
8 breakfast sausage links
4 large eggs
4 slices of bread (for toast)
1 cup hash browns (frozen or freshly grated)
2 tbsp butter (for cooking)
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
Cook the Sausages:
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the sausage links for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
Prepare the Hash Browns:
In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter. Once melted, add the hash browns in an even layer. Cook for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove and keep warm.
Cook the Eggs:
Melt the remaining butter in the skillet. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side-up, over-easy, or scrambled). Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Toast the Bread:
While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread slices until golden brown.
Assemble and Serve:
Arrange the sausages, hash browns, eggs, and toast on a plate. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.
