Tender pasta shells packed with a savory beef and ricotta filling, smothered in marinara sauce, and topped with melty cheese.
INGREDIENTS:
1 box jumbo pasta shells (approx. 25 shells)
1 lb ground beef
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups marinara sauce
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Prepare the Pasta Shells:
Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
2. Cook the Beef Filling:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let cool slightly.
3. Make the Cheese Filling:
In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, and the cooked beef. Mix well.
4. Assemble the Stuffed Shells:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Stuff each pasta shell with a generous amount of the beef and cheese mixture and arrange them in the baking dish.
5. Add Sauce and Cheese:
Pour the remaining marinara sauce evenly over the shells.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
6. Bake the Stuffed Shells:
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
