Gooey Hot Fudge Pie Delight

 

Ingredients:
– 1 cup of all-purpose flour
– 1 cup of granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
– 2 large eggs
– 1/2 cup of melted butter
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon of salt
– 1 cup of hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)
– Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a pie dish with butter or cooking spray.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
3. Add in the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until everything is well incorporated and the batter is smooth.
4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pie dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
5. Gently pour the hot fudge sauce over the batter, trying not to disturb it too much.
6. Next, pour the remaining batter over the fudge layer, covering it evenly.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
8. Let the pie cool slightly before serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature, topped with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra deliciousness!
