Baked Apple Fritters

Ingredients:
2 apples, peeled and diced
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp melted butter
1/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
1 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and grease a baking sheet.
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter. Stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Gently fold in the diced apples.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the baking sheet, forming fritter shapes.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and milk. Drizzle over the warm fritters.
